Cat litter can be made of a variety of materials: of these the most popular are in those made of silica crystals, clay or bentonite. Litter made of silica crystals have great capacity to absorb liquids and odors, but they have a higher cost and are difficult to dispose of. Bentonite bedding is agglomerating in that this material absorbs liquids and encloses them in its pores. Clay bedding is a good environmentally friendly and totally biodegradable alternative.
