Almo's long-term goal with Companion Animal For Life

Almo Nature Capellino Foundation's long-term goal with the Companion Animal For Life project is to give every dog and cat a home while simultaneously transforming shelters into temporary transit sites for animals awaiting adoption without more cages.

The EU Companion Animal For Life project aims to achieve its goal through a series of synergistic actions:

(a) linking and every dog and cat to the precise responsibility of a human and regulating, from the earliest days of life, every transfer of responsibility by creating a single European registry where it is easy to register and consult in order to make it easy to find lost animals and put a brake on easy abandonment;

b) create an official European Register of dog and cat breeders and related code of ethics, thus managing to outlaw illegal breeding;

c) promote the adoption of dogs and cats by encouraging responsible choices on the part of future human companions;

d) having achieved the above goals, implement targeted interventions on straying through the sterilization of dogs and cats, so that kennels and catteries become places of temporary transit with a view to imminent adoption.

HOW CAN WE DO THIS TOGETHER?
