Gluten is found in all grains (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut, rice, and corn) but rice and corn gluten does not cause food borne diseases such as celiac disease. Feeding your pet gluten-free products can help with proper maintenance of the digestive system because, a low presence of gluten puts less stress on the pancreas in producing enzymes to dissolve ingested starches.

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease of the small intestine, and is precisely due to an intolerance to gluten.
