Kattovit Renal is indicated for chronic renal failure in cats and to reduce oxalate stone formation.
Kattovit Feline Diet Kidney/Renal was specially developed to provide cats with reduced protein content by using high-quality protein in an easily digestible composition. High levels of protein can be harmful to the kidneys so the deciding factor is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy: in Kattovit KIDNEY/ RENAL, unlike conventional feeds, only about half of the energy is provided by protein. Enrichment with potassium citrate has an alkalizing effect on urine and can therefore prevent oxalate crystal formation (oxalate prophylaxis). Phosphorus and sodium levels are reduced.
