The duration of dietary treatment for the dissolution of struvite stones is 5-12 weeks in the case of struvite stone dissolution and up to 6 months in the case of reductions in struvite stone recurrences. Daily amounts may vary with breed, environment, exercise, temperament, and level of disease severity. The recommended amounts in the table are for guidance only and require adjustment in order to achieve optimal body weight. The dose can be divided into 2 or more daily meals. It is recommended to always leave fresh water at will in order to hydrate the animal as much as possible.
